Weed Man Participates in GreenCare for Troops

This article originally appeared in the Buffalo Grove Countryside, a Chicago Sun-Times publication.
Brandon Burns of Weed Man lawn care is getting his company involved in GreenCare for Troops, a nationwide outreach program coordinated by Project EverGreen that connects green industry professionals with men and women serving in the Armed Forces away from home.
Burns is seeking candidates for the program, which is ongoing and open to families who find lawn care a hardship when their major breadwinner on active duty away from home.
To get involved, families can volunteer themselves or friends of families can nominate them. After candidates have been chosen, Weed Man provides services to assist them with lawn care needs including fertilization, weed control, aeration and seeding.
Burns spent most of his professional career as a golf course superintendent before deciding to follow his entrepreneurial spirit and go into business for himself. He opened Weed Man lawn care serving cities in Lake and Cook counties, providing environmentally friendly fertilization, weed control and pest management services.
For information about Weed Man or to get involved in GreenCare for Troops, contact Burns at (847) 459-9333 or Brandon.Burns@weedmanusa.com.
